COMPREHENSIVE LOGISTICS

LOCKBOURNE, OH · 365,040 SF · DISTRIBUTION

EXXCEL was selected by Comprehensive Logistics to provide design-build construction services. Comprehensive Logistics is an Ohio based company that manages just in time delivery of automotive parts and performs sub-manufacturing services for automakers. The project site was a brownfield site, not suitable for construction per the EPA. The site had an existing basement that was not properly backfilled, resulting in water infiltration and contaminated soils. Existing utilities had to be redesigned for re-use or abandonment.

Brownfield sites can present numerous issues and challenges. The EXXCEL team overcame each potential obstacle by addressing them head on. The new distribution center features precast, insulated concrete walls and a mechanically fastened roof. The exterior features 221,229 SF of asphalt paving and 13,800 SF of concrete paving.
