DOMINOS

EXXCEL was hired to provide design and construction services to build a pizza dough production and distribution facility for Domino’s Pizza. The facility would also contain a franchisee center and pizza ingredient storage. The project was awarded due to EXXCEL’s value engineering approach and cold storage expertise. Construction was completed during the winter months in the Detroit metro area.

Temperature control was crucial during this build, with each area requiring different temperatures: -10oF storage freezer, 35oF storage cooler, 35oF dough production, 60oF dough mixing, and tray washing. All refrigeration systems were integrated into one state of the art DDC control system. All docks were equipped with vertical storing hydraulic dock leveler bridges with integrated controls for cleanliness and pest prevention.
